Your Telemedicine Questions Answered

No. As a patient, you do not need to create an account with Doxy to see your counselor or provider. You do not have to download anything either. Simply click on your provider's link (doxy.me/Provider'sName) that was texted to you. You will be prompted to check-in, then placed in a "waiting room."  Your provider will start the call when he or she is ready.

If you are a new patient, you can contact us here. If you are already a patient, you will receive a text with the appointment link. If you do not have a cell phone, tablet, or computer for video conferencing, we are still able to talk via a cell phone or house land line. We will adapt to you.

The telemedicine software, Doxy, is free for you to use. You do not need to download anything and do not need to set up an account. The only cost would be the regular cost of your appointment, if any.

The following steps should be done by you and your provider:

  • Use headphones
  • Reduce the volume of speakers
  • Move the microphone away from the speakers

  • Restart your computer: Restart your computer before your first call.
  • Internet: Be close to your WiFi router for a strong signal. Make sure other people in your home are not using up  bandwidth (i.e. streaming videos.) Make sure you don't have a lot of browser windows open. If possible, close other browser windows. 
  • CPU/GPU usage: Try closing other programs on your device.

No. You can be anywhere! For your own comfort and to have the best experience, we suggest:

  • A strong an internet / WiFi connection
  • A space you feel comfortable
  • An area that is private
  • A space that is quiet, with little to no background noise
