Signature Health was awarded a Ryan White Title A Grant to provide services for people in the HIV/AIDS spectrum, administered by the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program provides a comprehensive system of care, including primary medical care and treatment services for people living with HIV. Each year, the Program provides services and ongoing access to HIV medication to more than half a million people in the United States, enabling people living with HIV/AIDS to live normal lifespans.
The Ryan White Program was named after Ryan White who was diagnosed with AIDS at 13 years old in 1984 and passed away in 1990, one month before his high school graduation. Congress passed the legislation in his name - the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act.
