Caring for Your Teeth, Gums & Mouth

Staying on top of your dental health—also known as oral health—is so much more than getting your teeth cleaned by a professional. Your mouth is a window into the health of your body and can show signs of nutritional deficiencies or general infection. Diseases that affect the entire body may first become known because of mouth wounds or other oral problems.

Signature Health’s dentist, dental hygienist and dental assistants are ready to help you prevent dental problems as well as treat any dental pain or other symptoms.

Many people believe they need to see a dentist only if they are in pain or think something is wrong, but regular dental visits can contribute to a lifetime of good oral health. For adults, a dental checkup is recommended once every year, and teeth cleaning is recommended every six months. For patients under 21, a dental checkup and cleaning is recommended every six months.

Signature Health dental services include:

  • Comprehensive dental exams
  • Teeth cleanings
  • Cavity treatment (fillings)
  • Cavity prevention (sealants, fluoride treatment)
  • Oral cancer screenings
  • X-rays and imaging
  • Teledentistry consultations by video
  • Referrals to local specialists
